Being a newbie blogger is quite difficult but it gets easier when you are mentored by experts. Lucky for us, we have gracious blogger ”affiliates” teaching us how to work the ropes. And they also give us the lowdown on what’s happening in the Pinoy blogosphere with important upcoming events and activities. Special blogger events are not just vital sources of tips and techniques but the opportunity to hobnob with your fellow bloggers should create the rapport you need to establish your online reputation.
And speaking of important blogger events, on September 6, The Auctioneer shall be joining over 250 WordPressers from all around the Philippines for the first ever WordCamp in Southeast Asia!
“WordCamp is the premier event for WordPress users and developers. WordPress is arguably the #1 blogging platform in the world today. Apart from the fact that it is feature-packed, highly-customizable and flexible, WordPress is open source, and therefore has a large community dedicated to advancing its development. And so, WordCamp is the best venue for WP enthusiasts to come together and get updated on the latest.”
WordCamp Philippines 2008 in Manila will be held at the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater, College of Saint Benilde in Manila. Before the Manila event, another one will be held in Davao on September 4.
The first ever event was sponsored by the following:
- i.PH: the Domain for Individuals
- Free Online Flash Games
- Wazzup Manila Philippines
- Real Estate CRM
- Real Estate Website Designers
- Orange County Real Estate
- Auto Insurance Quotes
- Lane Systems Inc.
- RedMedia
- Orange County Business Lawyer
- Cebu Pacific Air
- Reality Wedding Videos
Through participation in this event, The Auctioneer hopes to expand its knowledge and expertise in corporate blogging. And through responsible blogging, we hope to make a significant contribution to the e-commerce industry in general.
We’d like to give special thanks to Abe for making us aware of the significance of blogging and to Migs for the invaluable assistance and support.
And to the rest of the bloggers in the country, we would like to invite you to the Auction.ph B-Day Party so we can all meet and get acquainted. Plus, you can get a chance to win Php5,000.00 in e-money if you post your suggestions here.
